The assembly has an enclosed zone (10) to process the rubbish containers with a steam generator (12), a current generator (14), air and/or steam suction (16) with a filter (18), a condensn. suction extn. (20) and a carrier and locking mechanism for the rubbish containers (22). The transport and locking system (21) has a holder (24) to engage grips (26) at the containers (22), and a conveyor (28) moving along the processing zone (10). The stem generator (12), the steam and/or air suction (16) and the condensn. suction extn. (20) units have connection channels (34, 36, 38) to connections (42a, 42b, 42c) in flanges (40a, 40b, 40c) near the transport and lock system (21). The connections (42a-42c) are pref. flexible ends for movement in relation to the containers (22) at the transport and lock system (21). The flanges (40a-40c) have connections to seal openings at the containers (22). A distribution system (54) works with overpressure valves at the containers (22). A common filter (18) acts with the connecting channel (36) of the steam and/or air suction (16) and the distribution system (54). The condensation suction extraction (20) has its own filter (56). The filters (18, 56) are microfilters and/or active carbon filters. The steam (12) and current (14) generators are supplied by a common tank (58) containing heating oil or diesel fuel. The steam and/or air suction (16) has a temp. and/or pressure monitor (62) at the containers (22). The steam and/or air suction (16) is connected directly to each container (22) through a valve, and pref. a magnetic valve. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for neutralising infectious rubbish and waste, from hospitals and clinics etc. Assembly is self-contained, without external supplies, for use where required to give effective disinfection and sterilising operation.
