Hydraulic cylinder electronic end-position damping system - senses piston position at ends of stroke using free-field, inductive, capacitive or cavity resonator detection, and varies hydraulic supply with controllable-cross=section choke
The control unit (27) evaluates the signals respectively of the displacement recorders (29,35;43,47). A choke working in conjunction with the hydraulic supply of the piston is controlled by the control unit. The choke has a flow cross-section which is varied, depending on a control signal given by the control unit. The respective displacement recorders are located inside a cylinder (3) of the cylinder unit adjacent to one or both the inner chambers of the cylinder (3). They are positioned at an endface formed by an end wall (5,7) and/or at one or both end surfaces (41,45) of the piston (11) acted on by pressure. ADVANTAGE - Maintains high measurement and control accuracy, requiring smallest possible space and constructed simply and cost effectively.
