The electronic monitoring arrangement contain a semiconductor sensor (2) whose electrical resistance varies with the measurement parameter, and an evaluation device (3) which produces a switching signal for a defined resistance change. The signal drives an electronic switch (4) which feeds a supply voltage to a load (5) which performs a monitoring function. The internal supply voltage for the semiconducting sensor, the evaluation device and electronic switch is generated from an external operating voltage source (+Ub) with the load connected to its positive rail. An analog display (6) is provided to display the measured parameter, e.g. temp. USE/ADVANTAGE - For monitoring cooling water temp. in vehicle IC engine. Reduced circuitry.
