The glazing bar or window frame (30,31) is for use in a building. It holds a glass pane (23) on either side of the bar and on the outside (1) of each bar there is a hollow profile (2) enclosing a core of fire-resistant material (3). The edges of the glass panes are held between the inside surfaces of the profiles (2) and adjusting pieces (11) held by light metal holding bars. These bars are given a smooth exterior profile by closure members (14). The edges of the glass panes are held apart by double-sided spacer pieces (8) on the vertical glazing bars or single sided-pieces (9) on the horizontal bars.
