The microwave device includes dielectric components (2, 8, 9, 10, 23) in the waveguide. The components are movable by a moving device outside of the waveguide and are in the power transmission path of the waveguide. The size of the components prevents microwaves from escaping the waveguide. The dielectric components are separated from each other by 3/8 of a wavelength in the longitudinal direction of the waveguide. Two of the components (9, 10) are rectangular, and they are all movable from deep inside the waveguide to the opening of the waveguide. The components are made of plastic, eg PTFE. USE/ADVANTAGE - For heating appts. of vulcanising chamber in rubber industry. Prevents leakage of microwaves from waveguide.
