The invention concerns arylboron acids of the formula (I) in which (a) is naphthalene-2,6-diyl or (b), R is CH3 or OCH3; m is 0, 1, 2, or 3 and n is 0, 1 or 2. Such compounds are useful intermediates in the production of liquid-crystal products.
