Volume flow control esp. for vehicle steering hydraulics - pumping hydraulic fluid, e.g. oil into main and auxiliary chambers using pump and throttle valve in main chamber

The vol. flow control method involves using a pump to supply main and auxiliary hydraulic devices. The amt. of hydraulic fluid sent to the auxiliary is independent of the pressure level. A throttle (52) in the main chamber (10) is connected to the auxiliary chamber (36) to allow the flow of hydraulic fluid to the auxiliary irrespective to the operational pressure. When the auxiliary is not needed, it receives, e.g. 100 cubic cm/min. while the main chamber receives 8,000 cubic cm/min. of oil. When the auxiliary is used, it receives 1,000 cubic cm/min. of oil while the main chamber receives 7,000 cubic cm/min. USE/ADVANTAGE - For vehicle hydraulics, esp. for steering arrangement in vehicle. Provides required amt. of hydraulic medium independent of operation pressure.
