Building construction measuring instrument transmitting measurements to ground level - uses sliding carriage supporting measuring laser directed upwards and display device directed downwards

The instrument allows measurements to be obtained at high points within the building and transmitted to the ground using a base plate (1) which has setting screws (6) and a level gauge (5), supporting a sliding carriage (2) for a laser (3) providing a laser beam directed upwards at right angles to the plane of the baseplate. A display device (4) directed downwards towards the ground is also attached to the sliding carriage and is in the form of a colour marker. Pref. the carriage moves along a linear guide (8) supported by roller bearings (7) and also carries a current source used for operation of the laser. USE - E.g. for installation of crane in factory, where separation of beams needs to be determined.
