Remote monitoring system for integrated functions of complex machines - employs function operated switches and individually coded transponders connected to read-out station by Z-core cable and inductive antenna.
Remote monitoring system for integrated functions of complex machines - employs function operated switches and individually coded transponders connected to read-out station by Z-core cable and inductive antenna.
A monitoring system for identifying the closing of a particular switch in a two-wire detector circuit across which a number of similar switches (S1 to Sn) are connected in parallel employs a transponder (G1 to Gn) in series with each switch (S1 to Sn). The individual switches (S1 to Sn) are operated by the various control elements of eg. a complex textile machine to indicate a specific functional failure. The closing of a switch (S1 to Sn) connects an antenna-coupled HF power source (T) of e.g. 128kHz in a remote read-out terminal (L) to the respective transponder (G1 to Gn) via the two-wire circuit (A) which then transmits a coded identity signal at a different frequency eg. 64kHz back to the station (L) via the antenna coupling for evaluation and display. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rnables a large number of integrated functions to be remotely monitored by a reliable low-cost system using standard commercial components and only a single two-core linking cable.
