There are through-flow openings (23) near the dripping edge (14) of the frame (1) to allow drainage of rainwater. The frame (1) is filled with poured concrete (7) leaving a central flue opening. The sides (9) of the frame are vertical and the top and bottom (10,8) are flat and horizontal. The perforated outside edges (14) of the frame base are turned downward to assist drainage. Support rods (3) are fastened using nuts (8) to the bottom plate (8) of the frame (1) and are embedded in the concrete (7). They are fastened by nuts (12,13) to a cover (4,5) which prevents rainwater going down the flue. The cover may be flat or curved. USE/ADVANTAGE - Cover for top of chimney which prevents rainwater going down flue.
