A plane rectangular holder (2) mfd. of flexible rubber, fabric or plastic sheet is covered on one side with metallic bristles (3). The brush can be moved to-and-fro along the conductors by pressure of hands on the other side so that the bristles sweep the surface to be cleaned. An alternative embodiment has a row of cylindrical brushes along one side of the holder with bristles projecting at an acute angle from twisted pairs of wires laid across its width. USE/ADVANTAGE - The smooth elastic bristle holder enables the brush to be applied equally to cylindrical and plane conductors for removal of, e.g. oxide contamination.
