Device for providing recycle flow in water purificn. installations which operate with a nitrification basin (1) preceded by a connected denitrification basin (2), with at least one bottom circulator (3) arranged in the denitrification basin (2), with a removable upper cover plate (4) and a lower suction pot (5) for the circulator (3), and with at least one suction side feed channel (6) opening into the suction pot (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Circulation of activated sludge/biomass in a nitrification/denitrification waste water/sewage treatment plant. Cost effective improvement of denitrification efficiency of waste water treatment plants by providing recycle of nitrate laden water and activated sludge to the denitrification section and agitation, obviating the need for high capital cost external recycle pumping.
