The controller applies a load device to one of two running asynchronous motors (3,4) of a lifting mechanism, where deviation of parallelism occurs, for reproduction of the parallelism. Each asynchronous motor is provided with a pole changeover winding, as is a device (9, 10, 11) determining the deviation and as load device the pole changeover winding (7) of one each motor acts, which when the deviation is exceeded over a set value serves as load winding. The load winding is connected in series with a voltage divider (8) which is adjustably formed and is of an ohmic or inductive type. The other pole changeover winding (6) can be used as load winding which is fed with variable direct voltage. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and energy-saving parallel control for at least two lifting mechanism drives. Esp. simple braking control as load winding is supplied with DC voltage.
