An injection or injection compression machine for prodn. of information-carrying discs, e.g. CDs comprises fixed and moving platens with a hydraulic closure system. Faster prodn. of discs is realised by: (i) at leat two adjacent tools, each with a fixed and moving part separately mounted on the platens and connected to their own temp. control hoses; (ii) a separate injection unit for each tool, and (iii) a single closure unit for both tools. USE/ADVANTAGE - Moulding information - carrying discs, e.g. CDs. Increases prodn. rate without loss of quality.
