A very stiff paper is used into which the embossing shaped needles of a graphic generating personnel computer working with a typewriter are struck. There is a netting or elastic underlay against which the needles strike.The paper may have a surface density of approx. 60 g per square m. The reinforcing netting for the paper may be made of hard drawn PVC fibres 0.15 mm in dia. arranged in a mesh of 1 mm spacing. USE/ADVANTAGE - Paper embossing system allows for blind people to produce their own braille which is not too technical and which is financially affordable. The paper used is not too rough for graphics.
