Cosmetic agent, consisting of two phases which (i) are sepd. until use, (ii) rapidly, on shaking, give a homogeneous emulsion, and (iii) separate, after shaking, to give two distinct phases, comprises at least 0.05-5 wt.% (based on the total compsn.) of a silicone-copolyol of formula (I) (where R is 1-18C alkyl; A is ethylene or propylene; X is H or 1-4C alkyl; m,n,z are 2-25; and x is 1-10). The amt. of (I) is pref. 0.25-3 wt.%. The oil phase is mostly made up of at least silicone oil, or of a mixt. of a silicone oil and a 4-30C hydrocarbon. USE/ADVANTAGE - The agent is useful for hair- or skin-care. In contrast to prior art 2-phase compsns. The emulsifier itself is a hair- or skin-care agent, and the emulsion separates very well into the separate phases.
