Reaction tester producing random sequence of sensory stimuli - evaluates recognition of combinations of small square symbols distinguished by stripes arranged along different edges

The impairment of performance of the person under test, e.g. by alcohol, drugs, medication or hypoglycaemia can be evaluated without blood testing by means of appts. (1) which generates a random test sequence of signals given by symbols (4) on a liq. crystal display (3). During an initial phase all symbols are activated for about 10 seconds, after which two are selected at random for a further 5 seconds. During the test, the combinations appear for 4 to 8 seconds, and the subject is required to press a button (6) if the selected two symbols appear together, and another button (7) if not. ADVANTAGE - The appts. can be adapted to individual psychic parameters of e.g. diabetic user by storage of appropriate sets of comparison values.
