The appts. to test tablets with circular recesses (22) to carry the tablets (11) through a number of different testing stations. A hardness testing unit (19) has a counter bearing unit (25) radial to the rotating plate (18) and at least one moving press unit (26) radial to the rotating plate (18). The tablet is oriented in the recess (22) so that the tablets (11) are aligned on the movement axis (39) of the press unit (26). USE/ADVANTAGE - The appts. is for testing tablets, for quality control, according to a number of standards. A number of tablets, of the same shape, are automatically centred in their recesses in the rotating plate, and in a defined position for testing for hardness, with a simple and rapid movement between the test stations.
