The propellant passes into the spray can when the propellant cartridge is opened by pressing down the spray head which causes a rod to press on the cartridge. After spraying, the valve member is closed by a compression spring. The remaining pressure in the can drives the fluid through a tube into the valve part. The valve part can be removed from the spray can. It is possible to refill the can and replace the propellant cartridge. USE/ADVANTAGE- Interchangeable valve unit for refillable spray can. Re-use reduces the amount of waste materials.
