The abrasive medium (3) is contained in a pressurised storage tank (2) with an outlet funnel (5). Across the tank is a beam (11) from which is suspended an agitator (6) in the form of a central stem (8) with radial arms (9) at different levels. The agitator passes down through the outlet funnel and may be extended upwards into the tank. Fastened to the beam (11) is a vibrator (7) which excites the agitator into vibration and disperses lumps that may be present in the abrasive medium, esp. sodium bicarbonate. Excitation of the agitator may also be induced by vibrators (7',7'') on the outside of the tank. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, effective and low-cost method of ensuring smooth flow of abrasive media.
