摘要
Water is collected in a single or multi-stage process from cool ambient night air; further that materials are exposed to the air which are good infra-red radiating bodies and are so arranged that they release heat to the sky and cool strongly to attract preferential deposition of dew and atmospheric moisture which is then collected. The radiating/collecting materials are hygroscopic (pref. kieselgel, activated clay, sand) and continue to absorb moisture when their temp. is above that of the dew point. Moisture is drawn from these hygroscopic materials in further stages. The materials are heat-insulated from the ground using heat-reflecting or insulation materials. Cooled air is further cooled to below dew point and release more water. Air movement is regulated over cooling surfaces to optimise deposition of water.
