Adjustable vibration drive with two unbalanced bodies e.g. for filter or conveyor - uses two AC drive motors coupled to two different AC systems, with different frequencies or phase, one of which is produced by semiconductor switch.
The arrangement has drives for each wt. with the ability to be externally varied in relative phase during operation. The drive motors are connected to two different three-phase systems with a resulting difference in the rotation frequency or angle of the field vector. At least one system differs from the mains and is artificially generated by a controller with a semiconductor switch for each phase controlling the power passed according to the on-off times. The phase angle is formed by producing a generator torque with a hyper-synchronous operating mode defined by a characteristic difference which is the sum of measurable partial differences between the first three-phase system and the driven motor's rotor and between the braking motor's rotor and the second three-phase system. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp for driving vibrating conveyor system. Enables phase between two centrifugal force vectors to be adjusted without losing advantages of brushless three-phase motors.
