Sepn. of sulphate(s) from industrial effluent by electrodialysis

Selective sepn. of sulphate from industrial effluent by electrodialysis comprises sepg. effluent into a sulphate-enriched concentrate and a desulphated diluate. During the process cycle the concentrate is passed through a vessel filled with same concentrate and then part of the concentrate flow is diverted into a crystallisation vessel wherein gypsum is recovered and the residual water is added back into the concentrate-filled vessel.
