To produce a device for distributing incoming calls from an exchange line of a telecommunications network to a PBX system comprising one main line and a plurality of extension lines, and for allocating exchange line access to one of a plurality of extension lines in which, on the one hand, fast access from a terminal device to an incoming call of a telecommunications network is possible, whereas, on the other hand, a plurality of telephone stations are prevented from jointly accepting or listening in to a call, it is proposed to insert an electronic counting mechanism between the exchange line and the individual devices connected to the main line and the extension lines, which is started up when an incoming call arrives and one of the terminal devices is activated and by means of which all lines are controlled in succession, the activated terminal device, when controlled, being connected to the exchange line and the other devices being deactivated.
