Speaker verification system using nearest neighbour distance - accepts or rejects identification of speaker claiming to be registered speaker on basis of relationship between distance and given threshold
Speaker verification system using nearest neighbour distance - accepts or rejects identification of speaker claiming to be registered speaker on basis of relationship between distance and given threshold
The system includes a processor for processing spoken text into speech blocks. A register registers a speaker into the system. A call device calls-up a spoken test word connection of a speaker who claims to be a given registered speaker. A distance determining device determines one or more verification distances between the spoken test word connection and the corresponding words which were input into the system when that speaker was registered into the system. Another device determines a verification value from the distance data and, from that, determines whether the speaker is the registered speaker he claims to be. A device in the distance determining device determines the euclidian distance of the nearest neighbour between speech blocks which belong to the spoken test word and blocks which belong to the registered words. ADVANTAGE - Has low error rate and minimises verification processing time and/or reduces necessary computing power.
