Heat resistant roller is claimed, in which the outer periphery surface of the roller (3) in contact with the steel plate (A) heated to high temp. comprises a para-aromatic polyamide fibre. One end of the belt material of para-aromatic polyamide fibres with thread (7) is sewn, so that the length of the end is shorter in the lengthwise direction than that of the other end, and a circular arc is formed, in which the end is arranged on the inner side and the other end on the outer side. The sewn belt material is arranged on a roller spindle in such a way that the thick surface of the end is contacted with the spindle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for an appts. to mfr. steel plates, e.g. sheet rolling mill, for continuous annealing appts., for outlet side of combustion furnaces of continuous coating appts. or for outlet side of galvanising containers of continuous Zn galvanising appts. (claimed). Provides good heat resistance at high temps.
