This invention relates to a composition for alleviating and/or curing diseases, in particular environmentally-related diseases, where the composition contains natural and/or synthetic constituents of Sequoia gigantea and to the use of parts of Sequoia gigantea as medicines, in particular homeopathic medicines, medicinal raw material, dietary supplements and/or cosmetic agents. The composition according to the invention makes it possible to treat successfully a large number of pathological states so that the composition according to the invention is able to replace a number of allopathic and homeopathic compositions. The composition according to the invention makes it possible to utilise therapeutically the particular properties of Sequoia gigantea, namely strong resistance system and high capacity for regeneration, also for other biological systems.
