The appts. module (3) has main separation contacts between the switching devices within the module and field collector rails and between the switching devices and controlled loads, arranged in a contact block which cooperates with stationary counter-contacts of a LV switch unit (1). The appts. module is fitted, under control of a main contact shaft (40) accessible from the front side of the switch unit. Similarly, an auxiliary separation contact block is operated by an auxiliary contact shaft (46) concentric to the main contact shaft. The movement direction of both the main and auxiliary separation contact blocks is transverse to the direction of movement of the appts. module when inserting it in the LV switch unit or removing it from the latter. ADVANTAGE - Compact arrangement of separation contacts, allowing easy incorporation of position display.
