A machine for the production of glass fibre preforms from mat, and for subsequent treatment with polyurethane resin, has a feeder for the mat, a station for cutting the mat to lengths and a conveyor belt takes the lengths through a heater to a pressing station where at least two lower mould tools alternately act together with a top tool and with a length of mat and a stamping tool. The layout has two lower mould tools on a revolving carousel table which is moved in the direction of the conveyor belt between two positions; in the pressing station the one lower mould tool acts with the corresponding top tool whilst, at the same time in the stamping station the other lower tool acts with the stamping tool. Pref. the figure shows an example in which the glass fibre mat (1) is unreeled and fed to the cutter (4) and the cut lengths (5) are then carried by the conveyor belt (6) through a heater (7) and to the pressing station (8), followed by the stamping station (9). Both the last (8, 9) stations have a carousel table (10) with two identical lower mould tools (11, 12).
