The cladding plate for thermal insulation has elastic distorting profile bars (6) as intermediate pieces to bond the edges of the two plates contg. the insulation material between them. The profile bars (6) have grooves (7,8) cut back in their facing narrow sides. The angled edges (3,4) have barbed projections (11) to give a keyed grip within the grooves (7,8). Only the groove (7, 8) at the inner side, when asembled, is cut back, or only the groove (7,8) at the outer side of the assembled structure is cut back. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for industrial dryers such as textile dryers for running piecegoods. The cladding plate assembly is for the thermal insulation of industrial dryers and the like. The edge structure of the outer plates and the intermediate piece between them simplifies the assembly for mounting in place.
