The air outlet is controlled by two sets of louvres (3,4) to control the direction of the airflow. The inner louvres (3) have the louvre elements adjacent to the edge louvres hinged about their pivot axes. In the extreme setting the outer louvre shuts off the airflow with the duct wall while the adjacent louvre is bent about its hinge axis to partially shut off the airflow. The outer louvres have a hinged sprung louvre (14) on the duct wall to control the edge airflow. This louvre is pressed flat in one setting of the grille. ADVANTAGE - The design prevents distortion of the airflow direction in extreme settings of the grilles.
