Image adjustment appts. for offset printer - derives rotation transfer mechanism input from phase difference between cylinder and cylindrical gear position detector signals

The image adjustment mechanism contains a rotational transfer mechanism (14-16,18,20,22) which moves a cylinder (101) and cylindrical gear (107) wrt. each other in response to an image position shift. Detector sense the cylinder's and cylindrical gear's rotation positions. A memory stores a cylinder and cylindrical gear value detected from the phase difference between the detector values. An input device feeds an image adjustment signal into the rotational transfer mechanism on the basis of the current value. USE/ADVANTAGE - For preventing image displacement in offset printers. Errors in image position adjustment parameter caused by play are eliminated.
