The conversion comprises adding a lubricating oil based on hexafluoro propylene epoxide to the fluorinated hydrocarbon. USE/ADVANTAGE - The conversion simplifies and cheapens the conversion of refrigeration appts. running on fluorinated-chlorinated hydrocarbons to the more environmentally benign fluorinated hydrocarbons, by avoiding the necessity of first replacing parts made of mineral oil resistant elastomer.
