The invention relates to a method of demoulding hollow injection mouldings with undercuts in the inner contour and to a mould core suitable for application of the method. The mould core comprises an inner core of constant cross-section, around which at least two groups of different types of segments are radially arranged. The demoulding is performed in a number of steps following one after the other in terms of space and time, in which steps groups of segments are displaced one after the other in an axial or radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the inner core.
