The assembly to produce a biogas, from the gas generated by a sludge, has a raw sludge gassing in front where the sludge rots, for handling in the system, to give the gas to drive a gas turbine to power an electro-generator. After rotting, water is extracted from the sludge, followed by sludge drying, where the drying air is heated indirectly by a heat exchanger. An initial gas exhaust at the exhaust side of the gas turbine leads to the inlet for a heating medium at the heat exchanger. A further exhaust gas channel leads from the outlet for heating medium at the heat exchanger to the raw sludge gassing. A third exhaust gas channel leads the turbine gas from the raw sludge gassing into the atmosphere. Alleyways claimed is an operation where the turbine gas is taken at a temp. of more than 450 deg. C and passed at this temp. to the heat exchanger. An exhaust filter is fitted to the third exhaust gas channel. A gas cleaner, to remove sulphur, is in front of the gas turbine. The sludge dryer is a drum assembly, where the drying air is circulated pref. in a circular path. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for the prodn. of a biogas fuel from manure, etc. System gives waste product which is comparatively easy to dispose of, and generates max. energy.
