The prosthesis mfg. system uses an ultrasonic machining device with a profiled sonotrode crown (16,20) positioned on either side of the workpiece (14), activated during successive machining steps, for shaping the respective halves of the workpiece. The profiled sonotrode crowns are mfd. using a corresponding phantom model, the free edges of the obtained sonotrode crowns corresponding to the equatorial lines of the required tooth prosthesis. ADVANTAGE - Provides all-round machining of tooth prosthesis using relatively simple process.
