The read-out generates corresp. image data, stored by a memory. The stored data an (de) coded and stored in second memory. The transmission protocol in regulated by a control unit over a transmission channel. When the facsimile appts. communicates with a remote one with standard functions for reception only, the coded, stored image data and transmitted to the memory, matched to the reception mode.
