A safety measurement probe consists of a metal measuring housing (1) which can pref. be screwed into a wall. The wall separates zones of differing explosive charger. The front of the housing has a metallic closed membrane lying opposite the explosion-endangered area. The housing is only open in the region (2) where electrical connection wires enter the housing and is mfd. from a single turned part. Sensor elements are incorporated on the inner side of the front face of the housing and function on heat-conductive, inductive or acoustic principles. The novelty is that the inside of the housing (between the sensing elements and the electrical connections from the outside) is filled with a powdered mineral mixture material which hardens when cold and which needs no thermal post-treatment. The mineral mixture can be applied with a liquid.The mineral mixt. is mfd. on the basis of oxides and/or silicates or carbides of Al, Zr, Mg or Si. It pref. contains 44% silicon dioxide, 36% silicon silicate, 16% zirconium dioxide and 4% silicic acid or at least a mineral such as bentonite. The mixt. is made into a stirrable form by adding water. The mixt. can also contain organic additives or fibres, mineral or metallic fibres.
