The image read-out system includes a picture input device for reading a full colour image and to read out multi-valve data corresp. to the primary colours. An image read out system digitises the multi-valve data of the three primary colours (R,G,B) to read out the pseudo colour image. Several three-dimensional colour compensation tables are included for each type of image input device. The tables are connectable with the image read-out devices to compensate for errors between output colours and colours for presentation. A specific three-dimensional colour compensation table is chosen according to the type of image input device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Dot printer. System is operable without difficult initial set up process, independent of type of input image device, high level of system readiness.
