Method for generating harmonic colour corrections in a colour image. The colour image is stored in an image memory and shown on a monitor. Using a coordinate entry device, colour samples, which are intended to be of those colours subjected to a selective colour correction, are taken from the image. Colour correction values, which act on the colours determined by means of the colour samples, are entered. In order to obtain harmonic transitions at those locations in the image where the selected colours encounter the non-selected neighbouring colours, the colour correction reduces towards the edges of the colour correction region. This is achieved by means of filtering the colour samples or colour correction values. A colour computer calculates the corresponding colour correction values. IMAGE
