PURPOSE:To obtain a stable base line immediately even when sensors are again put into a soln. after the sensors are taken out of the soln. by covering the electrode parts and reference electrode of the sensors with hydrous polymers connected to each other. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of the sensors consisting of ion sensitive field effect transistors (REFET) 1 for reference and ion sensitive field effect transistors (ENFET) 3 for enzyme commonly having the pseudo reference electrode 2 are covered with the films 4 consisting of the continuous hydrous polymers and enzyme immobilized film 5 are formed on the gates of the ENFETs 3. Since the electrode parts and reference electrodes 2 of the sensors are connected by the hydrous polymers, moisture is contained in the hydrous polymers on the sensors even if the sensors are parted from the soln.; therefore, the circuits between the REFETs 1 and the reference electrode 2 and between the reference electrode 2 and the ENFETs 3 are not disconnected even on the outside of the soln. Such problems as movement of the base line and the need of a long period of time before the sensors stabilize to the original base line do not arise.
