An aluminosilicate gel was prepared containing a structuring agent st and having an appropriate composition to be crystallized in a zeolite of the faujasite structural class, and then the said gel is subjected to a crystallization in order to form a precursor of the zeolite consisting of said zeolite containing the structuring agent in its cavities and channels, and it produces the zeolite by calcination of the precursor. / p & & p & the structuring agent st consists of at least one compound chosen from among the macrocycles and carbon-containing macropolycycles which contain, in the cycle or cycles of the heteroatoms chosen from o, n, s 1 and s and which contain 10 to 24 carbon atoms per cycle. / p & & p & the zeolites obtained have a ratio si: a1 greater than 1 and which may exceed 3 and having, according to the nature of st, a structure of cubic symmetry or of hexagonal symmetry. These zeolites are used, either directly or after cation exchange, as adsorbents or as components of catalysts.
