PURPOSE:To contrive to increase rolling stiffness by providing a static pressure pivotally mounting surface with a static pressure pocket composed of a longitudinal groove wherein a pressure oil supplying nozzle is opened while being extended to the direction of sliding, and with another static pressure pocket composed of a leg groove and a head groove which are branched from the both sides of the aforesaid pocket while acting as a throttle. CONSTITUTION:A static pressure pivotally mounting surface 5 is formed with the first and second static pressure pocket 6 and 7, which is provided at the both ends of a guiding surface 4 in the sliding direction to the guiding hole of a female member. The first static pressure pocket 6 is formed with a longitudinal groove 61 in the sliding direction and a transversal groove 62 at a right angle at the front and rear ends of the longitudinal groove wherein a pressure oil supplying nozzle 9 is opened. In addition, the second static pressure pocket 7 is made up out of a leg groove 71 which is branched from the longitudinal groove 61 of the first static pressure pocket 6 to the both sides of it while acting as a throttle, and of a head groove 72 at the tip end of the leg groove. A land 8a and a recess 10 are formed at the outside of the transversal groove 62 and the head groove 72 and at a place between static pressure pivotally mounting surfaces 5 respectively. When the center distance between the static pressure pockets at the both sides corresponding to rolling at the movable side is made to be wide, rolling stiffness can thereby be made to be markedly great.
