For performing interventions, in particular for inspection and maintenance, to the inside of the heat exchangers such as steam generators of nuclear power stations, it is proposed a device comprising an articulated arm formed by at least two rigid segments 24a, 24b which are articulated together about an axis a, and two plates 30a, 30b are mounted at the ends of the articulated arm by means of two handles 28a, 28b, allowing each two rotations about two orthogonal axes b, c, one of which is parallel to the axis a and the other of which is perpendicular to the surface 31a, 31b of the corresponding plate. Each plate 30a, 30b bears hooking members 32 adapted to engage in the perforations 20a of a tube plate 12 of the exchanger, and a support 34 for an intervention tool.
