The appts. introduces flat objects (1), particularly memory cards into a printing unit (2). It has a stepping position (11) and at the first step (12,13) transfers one by one the source objects to the impression station and a second step (14) acts behind the objects at the entry of the unit and pushes from behind in synchronism with the printing device. The printing unit itself is of standard form. The print head (3) has a range of writing points (4), a transfer band (5), movable in the sense of the arrows F from a bobbin (6) and reception bobbin (7) and a cylindrical anvil (8) with a brake (9). A passage guides the cards during their transfer towards the printing unit and during their exit from the unit. It has a top (18) and two lateral sides (19) with superior plaque closure (20). The plaque is preferably transparent so that the operator is able to observe the cards during their transfer. USE - Unit for flat memory cards to be input and output for printing.
