P An array antenna comprising, on a dielectric support, a periodic succession, parallel to an alignment direction (D), of rectangular patterns (1, 2, 3, 4), this succession being formed alternately of patterns active elements (2, 4) and parasitic units (1, 3), these active units being identical, powered electrically at points such that their sides parallel to the alignment direction are radiating, dimensioned so as to have the same frequency resonance (Fc) and positioned so that their phase centers have a spacing smaller than the lambda wavelength associated with this resonance frequency, and these parasitic patterns (1, 3) being separated from the active units by slots of constant width (delta1, delta2, delta3, delta4) nonzero extending transversely to the alignment direction, these parasitic patterns being dimensioned so as to have resonance frequencies (F1, F3) close to the frequency of resonance of the active motifs. / P
