The unit consists of a pole (U) at the end of which is mounted a flat piece (Y,Y') containing pegs (G or Dy') that engage with a split spring collar (B) that can be clipped onto or removed from a mast according to the way the pole is operated. Fitted on the pole (U) are two pivot points one in the form of a reaction brace (T) and the other in the form of a hook (S) that are set at right angles to each other and at differing distances from the pole's end, so that on the operator pushing or pulling on the bottom end of the pole in relation to the mast (P), the collar holding the flag can be fitted or removed from the mast. Use/Advantage - For the fitting or removal of a collar supporting a flag on a mast which can be carried out by the operator from the ground without the need for ladders or an elevating platform.
