The air chamber has an internal sealed membrane (8) made of flexible material. This divides the chamber into at least two separate compartments (9, 10). An inflation system is connected to each compartment. This allows compensation inflation to be made in one compartment if the other becomes deflated. The air chamber has an external envelope (4) which provides mechanical resistance to puncturing. A sealed internal envelope (5) which can be inflated is located inside and this also carries the sealed membrane. ADVANTAGE-Provides chamber of air especially for life raft which is simple and keeps the raft afloat even in the event of piercing of this chamber.
