In a process and device, combined with screen printing and hot marking machines, for decorating objects which must resist exacting strength and aspect tests, a decoration is screen printed onto glass objects to a thickness sufficient to ensure max. relief. Pref. a machine, with a heated silicone wheel, deposits gilt on the print surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is used for gilding flat or cylindrical glass objects, e.g. bottles. The decoration has a surface relief and a brilliant appearance irrespective of the surface aspect of the glass object.
