The device comprises a fixed assembly made up of a frame (2), a table (1), two support columns (18), four jacks and all these elements are integral, and a mobile assembly made up of the mould with essentially a part or the assembly of the tools, two support yokes (17), eight columns (23) mounted in pairs on four rudder bars (22) and an ejection assembly mounted on slides and under the table by angles (8) and cheeks (7) serving as slides for the jack supports (16) regulated by bevelled wedges (21). It also has a steel on steel guidance system for positioning and recovery of the wt. of the support yokes (17), and the guidance is assured by skids (14,34) and slides (13,35) during the opening and closing of the mould by the jacks. The mould is fixed unsecured on the support yokes (17) by flanges (19). USE/ADVANTAGE - The machine is used for opening and closing foundry moulds where the quality of the finished casting is w.r.t. the precision with which the mould is closed despite the temp. variations to which it may be subjected. It allows the mould to be maintained at a constant temp. and is partic. applicable for chill moulding techniques.
